Reviews
I live in the US in southeastern Michigan (metropolitan
Detroit area). I'll be turning 55 next week and one of the items at the
top of my 'bucket-list' is to learn how to play the piano. I have never
owned a piano or keyboard & have absolutely no interest in entertaining
anyone other than myself.
Yes, I have purchased my digital piano. I received delivery of a KAWAI
Model ES-6 a week ago.
My rationale for purchasing the ES-6 was as follows:
1.) The product had full size keys with good tactile response and all of
the digital 'bells & whistles' (feature-wise) that a beginner would need
to keep the doldrums of repetitive practice fun & fresh.
2.) Portability (I have a grand niece who lives in Japan and visits each
summer...she is an accomplished pianist ...so I can easily transport the
ES-6 to my sisters home for my niece to use while she is here in the
States.)
3.) I found the minimalist ES-6 styling (on an X-design stand) more
aesthetically pleasing than a console styled product.
4.) The piano was packaged with a very robust stand, stool & travel case
at a price point (including tax) of 1,800 USD
I purchased the product(s) from Evola Music (they only sell pianos
organs) here in the metro-Detroit area. I resisted the near temptation
to purchase on-line for a couple of reasons: I like to support local
businesses here in Michigan during these difficult economic times & they
also offered lessons @ a very reasonable price which, as fate would have
it, I am starting this very evening.
