Questions on the Norbeck

Sorry to bother yourselves, My mother has a piano call a NORBECK, now i have been told by a relative it's classed as a WORLDS FAMOUS NORBECK, "and it's worth loads of money" as you put in your article I've just read , it's probally worth nothing, which is not an issue it's part of the family now!  I can find no info anywhere on this piano, in books or online, other piano makes/makers yes but not this, maybe I just don't know where to look, I'm sure you're very busy, but if you could find a few minutes to maybe tell me of even it's origin, I'll have somewhere to look.  Do you/have you heard of it or it's history? and if the statement above is true? my grandfather bought it a long time ago on the sound alone, as it does sound very good, and we've always been told he was sold it and the shop owner contacted him a few days later offering to buy it back for over 10 times the amount he paid for it! which I believe it was in the 1920s era, can you help, I also cannot find any piano tuners of a decent nature in the leicestershire area, it would be nice to know more history of the piano, My Granfather passed away in 1980 when i was 9, he may have known more info, but we don't know, move over Del Boy, it's another watch!!

I am very sorry to have to disappoint you, but I have searched through every book I have on pianos and also done some thorough research online... only to come up with nothing.

As far as I know, this piano wasn't famous and will not make you a millionaire (like Del Boy!)

So, the value of it depends on the condition of the inside of the piano. If you've read my article then you will know how to get it valued..
