Rent-To-Own

The 'Rent-To-Own' programme allows you to get a good quality piano in your home for a small monthly payment, without the big initial outlay. This means you're able to try out the piano before committing. Once you've passed the minimum rental period you can continue renting for as long as you wish. And you can buy the piano you're hiring at any time. If your piano needs any repairs whilst on rental, a technician will visit your home to fix it free of charge.

After some initial miscommunication, I had a first class Bentely piano delivered to the door by the most friendly company for my daughter's birthday. She promptly burst into tears when she answered the door as I had told her I had bought her a large canvas painting for her bedroom wall. The service offered by Graham is so astoundingly easy to afford that he made my daughter's dream come true a year early. She had asked for a piano for her 'Sweet Sixteen' a silly American idea...her thought was that she would give me a year to save as she knew pianos are not cheap. But thanks to Uk Pianos, it was affordable right now at £38 per month its less than I waste when I nip in my corner shop.

And now I have been sent the name of a good book so I can learn on the sly and hopefully play a tune by Christmas. Well done Graham for designing a superb service :)

How The Rent-To-Own Programme Works

The particular advantage of the 'Rent-To-Own' programme is that it allows you to have a good quality piano in your home for a small monthly payment, without a big initial outlay. This means that you're able to try out the piano before committing. Once you've passed the minimum rental period you can continue renting for as long as you wish. You can buy the piano you're hiring at any time. If your piano needs any repairs whilst on rental a technician will come out to fix the problem free of charge.

If you decide to buy your rental piano within the first 12 months, all the rental you've paid will be taken off the original price of the piano.

Piano rental costs range from £25-£95 per month.

Piano rental FAQ's

Question/ How much do I have to pay initially?
Answer/
(i) Returnable security deposit (20% of the piano's selling price - usually between £150-£375 for upright pianos). The deposit is deducted from the purchase price of the piano if you buy it, or refundable to you when the rental has finished

(ii) The 1st month's rental
(iii) Delivery
(iv) Collection (refundable if you purchase the piano you're renting)

Question/ What's the minimum rental term?

Answer/ 12 months on upright and grand pianos, 6 months on digital pianos

Question/Can I change my piano whilst I'm renting?
Answer/ Yes, providing you pay the transportation costs

Question/ Do you do a credit check?
Answer/ No, we don't

Question/ When I decide to purchase, can I buy a different piano?

Answer/ Yes, you can. Just contact us for an upgrade quote (only applicable for acoustic pianos)

Question/ Do I need to insure my piano?
Answer/ Yes. Just contact your insurance Company and ask them to add it to your existing contents insurance. There's usually no charge for this.

Question/ If I rent for more than 1 year, do I get more money off?
Answer/ No, the maximum rental that can be deducted is 12 months

Question/Can I return my piano before the minimum rental period?
Answer/ Yes, but the remaining rental payments must be settled in full

Question/ What happens if I damage my piano?

Answer/ You should contact us to get it repaired, or we'll repair it when it's returned. There may be a charge

Question/ Do I need to come to your shop to rent a piano?
Answer/ No, not at all... most people rent their piano over the phone. It's the easiest way.

Question/ How can I pay?
Answer/ You can pay the initial deposit by either card, cheque, or cash. The monthly outlay will be by standing order

Question/ What identification is required?

Answer/ A copy of either your driving licence, or an original utility bill

Question/ Which areas in the UK do you cover?

Answer/ We frequently rent pianos to London, Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton, Cambridge, Oxford, Birmingham, Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich, Norwich, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. We can deliver pretty much anywhere. 

Renting a piano is simple:

1) Call 020 8367 2080 or email admin@ukpianos.co.uk

2) Choose your piano, or we can advise one for you
3) Print off the following forms: standing order mandate, rental form, and terms and conditions

4) Fill them out and post them back to us along with your ID. Our address is: UK Pianos, 83 Southbury Road, Enfield, EN1 1PJ

5) On receipt of your forms we'll call you to arrange delivery of your piano

Rental: £75 per month - Rent a brand new Classenti UP-112 upright piano for 12 months and then it's yours for a remaining balance of £1,496.

Current purchase price: £2,995 - (12 x £75 monthly payments) - returnable deposit = £1,496 balance. This is what's left to pay after 12 months. You can either pay the balance, continue renting, or we'll collect the piano from you.

This piano is available to rent anywhere in the UK. You will receive a brand new one. Delivery cost is £65 (delivered by professional piano movers).
