At launch, IDC users will be able to browse and download 1000s of songs, as well as receive valuable information such as product updates, news and user tips, right from their instrument’s display screen. This easy to use feature works with any high-speed Internet connection on a wireless or cable-connected network via the instrument’s built-in USB connector.

The Internet Direct Connection marks the next logical step in instrument evolution. The Internet has already expanded into mobile phones, gaming consoles and even some home appliances. By connecting Yamaha Clavinovas and portable keyboards to the web, musicians all over the world get an unlimited amount of information and content.

Designed for consumers with all ranges of Internet and technology experience, Internet Direct Connection provides songs and styles starting at only a few Euros per item. There is no additional fee for the service itself and IDC can be remotely upgraded as new technologies and services are developed.

The Yamaha PSR-1500's user-friendly interface [interface picture here] is available in instruments with color and black and white LCD screens and let’s musicians easily find and download songs by pressing a few buttons. An initial registration for the service is required using an Internet-connected computer.
