The Yamaha PSR3000 provides affordable alternatives to high end workstations, yet include what most professionals look for—convenience, quality and expandability.

The Yamaha PSR3000 is a breakthrough product, plain and simple. It includes many of the stunning features of the Tyros at half the price. It’s all there, 128 notes of polyphony, a huge wave ROM including Sweet, Cool and Mega Voices (for the most realistic guitar sounds you’ll ever hear). You also get the styles from the Tyros.

Computer connectivity is cutting edge with USB hosting for storage devices like USB Hard Disks and Thumb Drives, a Smart Media card slot and USB MIDI connections. On top of that, Yamaha’s new Internet Direct Connection feature allows the Yamaha PSR3000 to connect directly to the Internet and download content directly via broadband connections. The 320 x 240 colour LCD not only makes the Yamaha PSR3000 a breeze to use, but has the ability to display scores and lyrics. You can even use the video-out to connect an external monitor or projector.

Internet Direct Connection (IDC)

Users of the new Yamaha PSR-3000 portable keyboard will be among the first to experience Internet Direct Connection (IDC). This Yamaha-exclusive feature marks a giant leap forward in instrument expandability and enjoyment.

At launch, IDC users will be able to browse and download 1000s of songs, as well as receive valuable information such as product updates, news and user tips, right from their instrument’s display screen. This easy to use feature works with any high-speed Internet connection on a wireless or cable-connected network via the instrument’s built-in USB connector.

The Internet Direct Connection marks the next logical step in instrument evolution. The Internet has already expanded into mobile phones, gaming consoles and even some home appliances. By connecting Yamaha Clavinovas and portable keyboards to the web, musicians all over the world get an unlimited amount of information and content.

Designed for consumers with all ranges of Internet and technology experience, Internet Direct Connection provides songs and styles starting at only a few Euros per item. There is no additional fee for the service itself and IDC can be remotely upgraded as new technologies and services are developed.

The Yamaha PSR-3000's user-friendly interface [interface picture here] is available in instruments with color and black and white LCD screens and let’s musicians easily find and download songs by pressing a few buttons. An initial registration for the service is required using an Internet-connected computer.
