An expansive soundboard and acoustic chamber give the Yamaha U3N upright piano extended power and projection, with the peerless tonal and expressive control of the legendary Yamaha action. The Yamaha U 3N upright also gives you a different choice of colours unlike most of the Yamaha top end upright pianos. If you need a piano for a school hall or classroom that has power and precision then look no further, the Yamaha U3S upright piano will fill any room with the most beautiful resonant sounds.

Yamaha U series upright pianos have long been a leading choice for the educational institutions, professional musicians and discriminating home pianists. Now, thanks to comprehensive redesign, the Yamaha U series world standard instruments are better than ever, with numerous advances in the materials and construction. Refined scale designs and components improve tonal performance, while other modifications enhance strength and durability. Extra wide music desks provide plenty of room for sheet music.

Exclusive U Series Features

Advanced Scale Design

Refinements in all elements of sound production have given the Yamaha U3N upright piano a richer, more resonant voice with evenly balanced timbre across the entire keyboard.

Soundboard and Frame

The Yamaha U3N has a special rib configuration that adds strength to the soundboard, while back post and other advances further enhance rigidity, resonance and structural stability.

Floating Support System

A 'Floating' attachment method, similar to that of grand pianos, allows the soundboard to vibrate more freely, improving the depth and character of bass and midrange tones.

Redesigned Hammers

The Yamaha U3 hammers are made up of materials specifically selected for this model thus providing optimum tone production, response and long term durability.

Soft-Close Fallboard

A damping mechanism, first used in grand pianos, prevents the fallboard from dropping abruptly onto the keyboard, guarding against accidental injury or damage.
