Having spoken to a member of your team on Friday, I am emailing to request a quote for
a removal of a baby grand piano to your storage facility in Northamptonshire and then
subsequent monthly storage cost.

As the piano is an antique, it is essential that the storage environment maintains consistent temperature and humidity levels to minimise the risk of damage.

Do you offer indoor storage with actively regulated temperature and humidity, rather than simply insulated or heated units?
Can you maintain a consistent temperature of approximately 18–22°C and relative humidity of approximately 45–55%?
Are these conditions maintained continuously throughout the year, including overnight and weekends?
Are temperature and humidity monitored and recorded, with alerts if conditions fall outside the specified ranges?
2. Suitability for an Antique Baby Grand Piano
Would your facility be suitable for the long-term storage of an antique baby grand piano alongside other household belongings?
Do you have experience storing antique or valuable pianos?
Is the facility suitable for access by specialist piano removal contractors?

I have answered your questions below.
Temperature and Humidity Control
The storage is indoors within a centrally heated area.
For this particular storage arrangement, given the requirements of the antique piano, we provide active humidity control using a humidistat-controlled system,
targeting approximately 45–55% relative humidity.
We monitor temperature and humidity so that the conditions within the storage room can be monitored and recorded.
The central heating and humidity-control arrangements apply to the storage area 24 hours per day.
Suitability for an Antique Baby Grand Piano
We specialise in pianos and have experience with the handling and storage of valuable instruments.
The antique baby grand can be stored long-term alongside the other household belongings within the same indoor storage room.
The premises are suitable for access by specialist piano removal contractors.
For longer-term storage, the piano would be appropriately protected against dust and accidental surface damage while allowing suitable air circulation around the instrument.
Storage Space and Availability
We can allocate approximately 120 sq ft specifically for your belongings.
The piano, furniture and boxes can all be kept together within this designated area.
Access to your belongings can be arranged with reasonable prior notice.
Pricing and Insurance
The charge for approximately 120 sq ft of designated storage is £330 per calendar month.
Minimum storage term is 3 months.
This includes the storage space, central heating and the additional humidity-management and environmental-monitoring arrangements described above.
There is no separate administration or climate-control charge.
If more than 120 sq ft is required, we can provide a revised quotation according to the amount of additional space required.
Collection, transportation and unloading can also be arranged using experienced piano movers. This would be quoted separately once we have the collection postcode,
property access information and an indication of the quantity of furniture/boxes to be transported.

Storage insurance is not included. You would be responsible for arranging and maintaining suitable insurance for all belongings while in storage,
including appropriate cover for the antique baby grand piano based upon its value and the insurer’s requirements.
If this is not possible then please let us know and we will contact our current contents insurer to get a quote.
Location and Practical Arrangements
Our storage facility is in the Daventry area, Northamptonshire, and suitable space is currently available.
You are welcome to visit and inspect the storage area before making a commitment.
To enable us to finalise the arrangements, please could you provide:
The collection postcode,
An approximate indication of the amount of furniture and number of boxes in addition to the piano.
The anticipated duration of storage and whether approximately 120 sq ft will be sufficient or whether you would like us to quote for a larger area or exclusive use of the room.
Once we have those details, we can also provide the transportation quotation if required.
