This warranty covers all parts, labour and home visits. Definitely worth having! Things do sometimes go wrong, but can be fixed quickly by us if they do, as we’re based in the UK.

I have been considering the purchase of an electric piano – it’s been a lengthy process. I’m now ready to proceed but I have discovered that the one I’ve settled on, the Gewa dp345 at £1199, is out of stock and unavailable.

Before I start again, are you able to advise as to whether this is permanent? Is it likely to be back in stock soon?

The Gewa DP345 has been discontinued.

I recommend looking at these pianos:

Gewa DP-510 (only available in black)

Gewa UP355

Broadway BW1 (available in black, rosewood or white)

Thanks for getting back to me. It’s disappointing news. The problem I have is that I live in a rather small house. My first choice was the BW1 but that’s too wide by 20mm! The DP345 would have fitted nicely. The UP355 is even bigger.

What’s the width of the DP510 and why is it nearly half the price of the DP345? I’ve got 1356mm to play with. Unless I tackle the Mrs about rearranging the whole room!

Here are the dimensions of the Gewa DP-510.

It looks like this is also too wide for your space though.

The DP-510 has a nice, warm, full tone that’s similar
to the DP345.
Its key touch is also fully-weighted and feels
close to playing on a real piano.

Gewa have moved their production from Germany
to China. They also developed their own key
mechanism for this piano.
These are the 2 mains reasons for the large
savings in production costs, of which are reflected
in the price of the piano.
